Your Funding Entitlement
Funding & Vouchers
Currently the government provides a limited amount of funding for all children aged 3 and 4 years. We are part of a pilot scheme to offer children 15 hours per week of funding, this is nationally rolled out from September 2010 but we can offer this from September 2009. Your can choose to access this 15 hours per week to suit you, ie, you could use 5 hours a day for 3 days, 10 hours one day the remainder over two more days or for 3 hours a day for 5 days. More details will be made available when you register your child. The funding is available during term time only for the immediate future.
As a private day nursery we apply for the funding on your behalf. You will be given the appropriate forms to complete during the term prior to your child becoming eligible for any funding.
It is possible to split this funding between providers. For example, if you are already claiming 2 sessions at another nursery or pre-school you can claim a further 3 sessions with us. Where sessions last for longer than the hours that are funded for, we will charge the normal hourly rate plus any extras you have booked, eg lunch, tea
Childcare Vouchers
Childcare vouchers are exempt from national insurance and tax up to the value of £55 per week, so it is possible for you to save up to £1,195 per annum; or up to £2,390 if both parents belong to a scheme.
The vouchers are provided through your employer and benefit them too because the NI exemption applies to both Employee's and Employer's NI payments.
We are currently registered with most recognised voucher schemes, although we are happy to register with, and accept vouchers from new schemes also.
