Our Rooms
Bumble Bee's

The Bumble Bee room provides for children aged 3 months to 2 years. Within this age there is a ratio of one staff member to three children. There is a sleep room housing 4 cots. Children have their own cot and bedding. The children have there own play area that comprises of a home corner, story area, sand and painting areas along with activity tables to introduce the children into as many different experiences through play, following EYFS guidelines.The Bumble Bee room has their own toileting, potty and nappy changing area. Nappies, wipes and pre-prepared baby food must be provided by you. Children can be provided with a hot two course meal from the Nursery kitchen.
Ladybirds

The Ladybird room provides for children aged from two years to three years. The ratio in this room is one member of staff to four children. The children are introduced to weekly themes that encourage all areas of development. Structured and free play is crucial to the way in which children learn, with enjoyment and challenge. Children have the opportunity to explore and share thoughts, ideas and feelings through a variety of art and craft activities, music, cooking, sand, water and role play. children choose their own activities, the adults offer a small group activity each session and the whole group gets together for singing or story telling during the day. We have a quiet area for children who require sleep or time to look at stories. The Ladybird room has seperate toilets, potties and nappy changing facilities.
Frogs

The Frog room is a large spacious area which provides for children from three years to five years of age. The children are introduced to new experiences and develop new skills within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The children are encouraged to plan their own play and the adults work with the children, extending and developing the children's interests and ideas. The ratio is one member of staff to eight children.
Newts
The Newts room also provides for children from three years to five years of age, but most of the children who attend are term time only. The children are also introduced to new experiences and develop new skills within the EYFS guidelines. Children are encouraged to plan their own activities and staff work with the children to extend their knowledge with new interests and ideas. the ratio is one member of staff to eight children.
The Monkey Club
This is a large room providing for children in the after school club and holiday play scheme. The room is well resourced for older children, providing opportunities for junk modelling, craft, painting, music making, computer games, art work, role play, and cooking.
Our Library
We opened our library in October 2009, this area is used for story telling, puppet theatre and developing listening skills, children are able to choose a book and have their own book bag which they can take home to read with parents. This has been a huge success for both children and parents. In the four months since opening over 600 books have been borrowed.
Sensory Room
Within the nursery we have encorporated a sensory room. the room consists of projection equipment, fibre optics, bubble tube, mirror ball and soft cushioning. This room offers a relaxing and calm environment where children can interact, control and explore through sensory experiences.
Indoor Play Area

This is a large area which provides ride on toys, climbing frame, slides, balls, hoops. Staff can also use the area for games and education with road safety etc by using role play. The older children have the opportunities to play tennis, pool, table tennis, football and basketball. This area provides all children with the opportunities to develop their physical skills in a safe environment.
Outside Play Area
All children have access to the garden during the day.We aim to provide a broad range of learning experiences following the EYFS. We use the garden in most weathers and children are encouraged to notice the changing seasons. Children can experience new smells and textures in our sensory garden. Children have opportunities to plant and tend plants in our vegetable areas. We also have a secret garden which is a quiet area where staff and children can read stories. The garden enables children to explore and discover insects and new experiences within a safe environment.
