This room caters for children aged 3 months - 2 years. Birth to three matters is followed, with all activities and experiences reflecting this framework. this room offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that enables the children to explore and investigate the world around them whilst encouraging all areas of their development.

We operate a key worker system that provides individual support to each child and identifies specific needs.

Ladybirds

  This room caters for children aged from two to three years. Birth to three matters is followed within the daily routine and the children are introduced to new experiences throughout their day. The children are given the opportunity to explore, share thoughts and feelings and investigate their environment through a variety of art and craft, music, looking, role-play and many more activities. the children are given freedom to choose  their own activities with adult support readily available by each child's key worker.

  All three rooms cater for children aged from three years of age to rising fives. the children are introduced to new experiences and develop new skills within the foundation stage of learning as directed by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). Practitioners aim to develop and extend all children's knowledge and understanding through planning experiences that meets next steps of learning.

Children are encouraged to develop social skills by sharing and turn taking and to respect others around them. Independence is promoted at all times and children are supported in making choices and decisions for themselves. We operate a key worker system to ensure effective working parent partnerships are established and that all children feel safe and secure at nursery

 

Breakfast/After School Club

  The House of Fun Nursery provides a before and after school service, that includes a school transport service using in-house nursery vehicles. All vehicles comply with road safety standards, including MOT certificates, motor insurance, tax etc. All drivers will hold a full UK driving licence, be first aid trained and have undertaken enhanced CRB disclosure. An in depth risk assessment is completed for all school runs with each child's individual needs taken into account.

the nursery provides a walking bus service to Stradbrooke school. High visibility clothing is provided, adequate staff ratios are maintained and all risks assessed.

We encourage the children to help plan activities including art, games, messy play, puzzles and role play. They have the opportunity to use the computer, watch DVDs or play on the play station.

Our Activ8 club has the use of the big hall for games and sports. Children can participate in the homework club or enjoy free play.

We serve a hot tea at 5.15 p.m. with a varied menu.
